TAABU EKDUARIA

A Rural Bangladesh Village Experience

Villages in Bangladesh

The soul of Bangladesh is in its villages! Villages that surprise with their calmness, their order and their relative peace. Sure there are activities — in the fields, homes, schools, mosques and temples, but there is a different pace to it all than you will find in a Bangladeshi city. Three quarters of the population live in rural areas. Families in rural Bangladesh rely primarily on agriculture and fishing for their daily income.

Our Village Homestay Programs

A village homestay offers a deep insight to the life of rural community. While sharing their hospitality, you are welcome to join their daily work in and around the house or in the fields, visit the local school, river and lakes and try your luck at catching fish from the pond. Your host will facilitate the communication with the villagers.

We arrange various specialty guided tours to visit the ancient ruins, locality, farms, rivers and small hills. The available various activities and workshops would allow you to do as much or as little as you are in the mood for.

Culinary Delights

Local cuisine is indeed a highlight of our Village Homestay programs! Your meals will be genuine feast of delicious Bangladeshi curries and fresh vegetable platters. We offer you the opportunity to join in the preparation of your meals and have a lesson of Bangladeshi cooking in a traditional setting.

About Taabu Ekduaria

This charming village home is fully furnished and aesthetically decorated, ideal for a family on holiday or a single person on retreat. With rice paddy and village views, an enclosed vegetable garden and a tiny fishpond, the house is a cozy and comfortable exotic home away from home.

For a different type of holiday away from big hotels in a beautiful Bangladeshi village, stay in our place with a complete kitchen and friendly family to share time with. Take a walk through the rice paddies and wander through the village.
Our home is in rural Bangladesh style with some modern amenities, a comfortable living room, roof balcony and hammock in the garden for lazy afternoon siestas overlooking the pond with views of rice paddies and vegetable gardens beyond.

The queen size bed is very comfortable with cushy pillows and the ensuite bathroom has a rain shower. Fall asleep to the sound of crickets and frogs and from your bedroom, watch the working farmers and herons in the rice fields and observe the children playing rural games from your veranda.

Our house is suitable for those who like to have a close encounter with nature and experience everyday rural village life.
