Itinerary
In this trip we let you explore most of the tourist attractions, our cultures and the life of Old Dhaka. The narrow, winding, chaotic streets of Old Dhaka are the perfect place to explore with a local at your side! Our friendly local guide will help you to see this teeming city through a local’s eyes. Walking along the mass through some narrow lanes & explore the lifestyle of the local known as “Dhakaia”. Handicrafts, workshops & markets along with traditional foods are really exciting here. Walk through the narrow and busy street of Sakhari Bazaar, Hindu Street. Try to get into some traditional narrow living home to see their lifestyle. Armenian Church is a historically significant architectural monument situated in old Dhaka. Also included the national and popular places in Dhaka.
In this trip we will explore the remaining of Bangladesh old capital (Sonargaon), the Folk Arts & Crafts Museum, abandoned city Panam, abandoned Hindu temples, a bamboo made primary school and life at Small Island on mighty river Meghna while riding a country boat.
Srimongol, the tea capital of Bangladesh where you will enjoy some huge tea gardens.  Srimongol is also famous for the Lawachara rain forest which is reserved forest and conservation of wildlife. In this beautiful rain forest you can walk through the majestic standing trees which are undisturbed for centuries. One can easily find out wild animals like Cape Languor, Slow Loris, Yellow Throated Martin, Hoolock Gibons, Asian Black Bear, Rock Python. The attractive birds like Oriol, Barbet, Hornbills, Fork Tails, Laughing Thrasher with the high profile symphony of small insects will absolutely absorb you in serene atmosphere & hill top tribal village inside the forest.
Madhabpur Lake is surrounded by the low height hills covered with Tea Gardens.

Panam City

Day-1: Will pick you up and visit Sadarghat, central river port. Boating on the river Buriganga is truly interesting. Pink Palace, the home of Dhaka’s King (closed on Thursday). Will visit Star Mosque, most decorative mosque of the city. Hosaini Dalan, is a traditional old building. You will enjoy the Rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Old Dhaka with full of commercial & cultural activities. Have some authentic food as lunch at a famous local restaurant. Proceed to Dhakeshwari hindu temple & Lalbagh Fort (closed on Sunday). It is mentioned that by considering heavy traffic jam of Dhaka city, Old Dhaka Trip we will execute by Rickshaw and CNG Auto Rickshaw. If time permit we could do some more activities around Old City and go back hotel.
Day-2: The second day will be shown to you The National Museum of Bangladesh, Liberation War Museum, The National Parliament of Bangladesh, Chandrima Uddan(Grave of Ziaur Rahman), 32 No House(Sheikh Mujibar  Raman’s House) and Buddhist Temple (Basabo) and back hotel.
Day-3: In the morning will pick you up from hotel lobby. Drive to Sonargaon, the old capital of Bengal. The site represents the substantial remains of an early medieval bygone city. Sonargaon was the seat of Dev Dynasty until the 13TH century. From then onward till the advent of the Mughals, Sonargaon was the subsidiary capital of the sultanate of Bengal. Have an authentic lunch at a local restaurant.
In Panam Nagar, you’ll wonder in a abandoned city from early 20th century, while visiting Goaldi Mosque will take you back to the Sultanate period of Bengal. Then visit a nicely designed bamboo made school for under privileged students.
Proceed to Meghna river. Will take a country boat for about two hours cruise on the river. We will stop on the bank of the river to explore a rural village & meet the locals. You can also explore river island & meet the fishermen family and back to Dhaka.
Day-4: 6:25/7:00am board on the Train (Parabat Express-TUE off) at Kamlapur Railway Station or Airport Railway station from Dhaka to Srimongol. Arrive Srimongol, the Tea Capital of Bangladesh by 12 noon. Our local representative will pick you up from railway station & transfer to Hotel Plaza/similar for overnight stay. Take a local sightseeing tour covering Madabpur Lake at Kamalganj, Pinaple/Lemon/Guava Gardens, Tea gardens & Minipuri tribal village. Overnight stay at our designated hotel/resort at Srimongol.
Day-5:  Early in the morning take a guided tour to Lawachara rain forest which is reserved forest and conservation of wildlife. Visit hill top tribal village inside the forest. Return to Srimongol by 10 am. Will explore some tribal villages in Srimongol. Transfer to railway station to board on Parabat Express at 5 pm. You will arrive at Dhaka by 10 pm (depend on train schedule).

Remarks

# Ahsan Manzil will be closed at Thursdays and opens after 03.00 pm on Fridays. Lalbagh Fort will be closed at Sundays, and opens after 02.00 pm at Mondays. And on all Government holidays these are closed. Rest of the sites are open 07 days a week.
# There will be no accompanying guide on the train.
#At Wednesdays & Thursdays Sonargaon Folk-arts and Crafts Museum is closed for full day.
