Faridpur is a district in south-central Bangladesh under the part of Dhaka Division. It is one of the oldest districts in Bangladesh. The district is located on the banks of the Padma River. The old name of this area was ‘Fathabad’. Faridpur district is a main administrative unit of Dhaka division after Dhaka. This area is well known because there are the home of many saints, political persons and some religious people.
Faridpur have some historical sites to cultural attractions and local attractions which must impress a tourist. Faridpur is around 128 km away from Dhaka by using Dhaka-Aricha Highway. You can go to Faridpur by bus from Gabtoli Bus Station in Dhaka.
